Are our governments doing enough to protect us from the dangers of genetically modified foods?

There is no requirement in either the US or the UK for GM foods to be labelled as such.

The US government regards GM crops as being substantially equivalent to conventional crops, and therefore not requiring any special testing. There is no US law requiring any. GM foods are classed as 'Generally Recognised As Safe', along with such foods as salt and pepper.
